About the Digital Content & Innovation Team
We are a newly formed team of about 70 people spread in locations around Australia. We’re focussed on making great digital content for ABC audiences and supporting Screen and Audio teams with digital strategy and implementation. The team includes the ABC listen team, Impact, Innovation Lab, as well as reporters, producers and Social Media experts from ABC iview, ABC KIDS, RN, Double J, ABC Classic & Jazz, ABC Everyday and Arts.
About the Role
This role will see you drive the social strategy and operations of the ABC Content division by identifying and maximising opportunities to increase audience reach and engagement. Reporting to the Head Digital Content & Innovation as part of the Digital Content & Innovation Executive team you will also;
- Lead the day-to-day operation of key branded social accounts including iview, listen and ABC KIDS.
- Work collaboratively with creative partners on best-practice social content, innovating in formats and styles.
- Oversee and manage social planning and calendar for significant screen & audio projects.
- Monitor and analyse the quality and audience impact of digital content and Social Media engagement and provide specialist advice to team members and the Leadership Group on the return on investment.
- Develop and maintain strategic and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You’re an experienced leader with a proven track record in motivating and developing digital teams to deliver high levels of performance and output. You will also possess high level social platform expertise, with proven significant experience across multiple platforms, staying across new trends and industry developments.
Your skills and experience will also include:
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement/management skills with the ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships and negotiate to deliver ABC Content outcomes.
- Significant experience in managing third party products, including extensive understanding of online platforms and audience behaviour.
- Highly developed organisational and project management skills with significant experience in planning and implementing change initiatives effectively.
