Manager Strategic Assets

Chandler Macleod is thrilled to announce our partnership with Moira Shire to assist in the appointment of a Manager - Strategic Assets The role provides ongoing leadership and support to the Strategic Assets Team and the organisation to ensure asset management is integrated within Council’s planning framework. The objective is to maximise asset service delivery potential and manage related risks and whole of life costs, including the preparation of Council’s Asset Plan and asset specific management plans that ensure value for money and balance between service levels, risk and cost. If successful in this role you will be responsible forMaintaining and reviewing Council’s Asset Plan, asset related policies & strategies and ensure compliance with the Local Government Act 2020. This includes managing the consultation process as per Council’s community engagement policy.Preparation and maintenance of individual Council Asset Management Plans for various asset classes including a program for regular review and updating and ensuring engagement with and input from key stakeholders.Engaging with stakeholders to establish and define service levels and ensure understanding of the trade-off between cost, service levels and risks.Developing and implementing a program to assess asset utilisation and identify opportunities for asset rationalisation and disposal.Leading the business case development and assessment process for all new projects for both internally and externally funded projects You will haveTertiary level qualifications in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, asset management or other relevant disciplineDemonstrated advanced knowledge and application of asset management principles, including ISO55000 and AASB Standards, asset data collection and analysis and capital works forward planning.Demonstrated commitment to and application of the principles of continuous improvement.Demonstrated people management skills with the ability to lead, manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
