Test the financial resilience of ANZ to severe but plausible economic scenarios that may threaten ANZ’s viability.
Forecast credit metrics to support finance managers with strategic planning over a 3-year time horizon.

Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime
What will your day look like
- Executing of credit risk Stress Testing to support Industry-Wide Stress Tests, Group ICAAP and legal entity ICAAPs.
- Forecasting of credit provisions and risk weighted assets to support financial planning. Monitor and update forecasts in a timely basis.
- Communication of Stress Testing and forecasting outcomes to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Support the development of methodologies and approaches to cater for new and emerging risks (e.g. climate risk).
- Training and supporting junior team members.
What will you bring?
Must have’ knowledge, skills and experiences.
- 5 to 10 years banking experience working across roles such as Stress Testing, Credit Risk Modelling, CCAR/ DFAST execution, Forecasting, Credit Metrics, Risk Reporting, Consulting.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced programming and data wrangling skills using SAS/SQL/Python.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of statistical modelling, quantitative forecasting models, financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with a range of stakeholders.
- Growth mindset and the ability to learn quickly.
‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge analysing credit provisions and Risk Weighted Assets.
- Previous experience in Stress Testing working for large banks
- Experience with CCAR/ DFAST Stress Testing process.
- Knowledge of macroeconomic variables and analysis.
- Previous experience in uplifting and improving processes.
- Development of data quality control checks.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in an analytics-based degree (statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, quantitative finance, engineering)
