What will your day look like
- Executing of credit risk Stress Testing across a range of portfolios within the ANZ Group to support Industry-Wide Stress Tests, Group ICAAP and legal entity ICAAPs.
- Forecasting of credit provisions and risk weighted assets to support financial planning. Monitor and update forecasts in a timely basis.
- Lead a team of junior and senior quants to ensure Stress Testing and forecasting deliverables are of high quality and in accordance with agreed time frames meeting stakeholders’ expectations.
- Communication of Stress Testing and forecasting outcomes to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Support the development of methodologies and approaches to cater for new and emerging risks (e.g. climate risk).
What will you bring?
‘Must have’ knowledge, skills and experiences.
- 10+ years banking experience working across roles such as Stress Testing, CCAR/ DFAST execution, Credit Risk Modelling, Forecasting, Credit Metrics, Risk Reporting, Consulting.
- Management/coaching skills and experience leading a team of quantitative analysts.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced programming and data wrangling skills using SAS/SQL/Python.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge analysing credit provisions and Risk Weighted Assets.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of statistical modelling, quantitative forecasting models, financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with a range of stakeholders.
- Growth mindset and the ability to learn quickly.
- Desire to uplift current state processes.
‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences.
- Previous experience in Stress Testing working for large banks.
- Experience with CCAR/ DFAST Stress Testing process.
- Knowledge of macroeconomic variables and analysis.
- Previous experience in uplifting and improving processes.
- Development of data quality control checks.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in an analytics-based degree (statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, quantitative finance, engineering)
