Lead our growing Support Coordination team. This permanent part time role (3-4 days per week) provides Support Coordination services to our participants in Moruya. The successful candidate must be able to travel to our Moruya office on a regular basis. However, this role may provide a weekly hybrid Work from Home opportunity, after a period of time.

Yumaro is a multi-award winning not for profit located on the south coast of NSW. There are opportunties to work in our Moruya office. Yumaro operates several social enterprises providing employment opportunities in a supported way. We provide NDIS services including home and community supports, capacity building supports, accommodation, social programs, Support Coordination and plan management services to over 220 people living with a disability.
About the role
The role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Support Coordination services to participants. The successful candidate will:
- oversee a team of support coordinators, providing guidance, support and leadership to ensure service quality standards are met
- set clear performance expectations and goals for team members
- assist with team development and performance management
- ensure timely and effective delivery of Support Coordination services and ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards and regulations
- build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, participants, their families and support networks
- collaborate with external service provides and community organisations to meet the needs of clients
- manage their own Support Coordination case load
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in supervisory or managerial role in the community or disability sector and experience as a support coordinator or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of disability services, Support Coordination principles, and relevant legislation (NDIS)
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Relationship building - working with a diverse range of people, their families or carers, and a network of support providers and community services
- Able to coordinate service expectations and professional boundaries
- Able to research, interpret and apply NDIS and service concepts to design and implement effective solutions for participants within plan funding
- Able to coordinate, organise and track activities/bookings/tasks
- Able to prioritize to achieve multiple and often competing deadlines
- Strong administration skills including basic budgeting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
