The opportunity
This role is accountable for leading a team of technology professionals who deliver and manage enterprise applications and technologies, liaising with key stakeholders across our organisation to ensure we deliver exceptional technology outcomes to our members, employers, and business.
- End-to-end responsibility for driving the implementation of strategic technology change at a platform and application level
- Drives the improvements to practices & standards, and ensures application lifecycles are managed effectively
- Lead and coach a high-performing team to deliver on the evolving needs of your assigned technology domain in alignment with portfolio governance, SDLC (software development lifecycle) frameworks, policies, standards, and practices
- Support staffing and capacity planning processes across strategic projects, BAU, and ongoing enhancements
- Advocate for, and participate in, effective incident, problem, and change management activities to provide a reliable operating environment and ensure we deliver high stakeholder satisfaction
- Drive adherence to UniSuper's SDLC standards for systems development projects under both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Provide representation and input into Domain and Platform Strategies which impact your application portfolio through collaboration with our Enterprise Architecture team
About you
We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
- Experience working in Exterprise Digital Applications, managing a small team
- Should have mentored and developed individuals/ team providing the support and guidance required to deliver high standards of software and service quality
- Strong understanding of modern development and delivery practices, including Agile, CI/CD, ITIL, SDLC and DevOps and with the ability to mature these capabilities within your team
- Experience working with vendors responsible for the delivery of outsourced technology services, as well as experience in the underpinning commercial & governance practices of outsourced services
- Solid experience in Information Technology and IT Service Management, IT Project Management
- A background in financial services industry, with exposure to IT security, risk, and audit
