Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Health Manager to join their Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP). This role has overall program responsibility for TACP. Overseeing the daily operational management of over 40 FTE comprising nursing, allied health and administration staff and the maintenance TACP package occupancy. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with various stakeholders, managing financial, activity and workforce issues. TACP provides goal oriented, time limited (maximum 12 weeks) packages of short term care, support, case management and therapy for older people who require time in a non-hospital environment to complete their restorative process, optimise their functional capacity and have the opportunity to finalise longer term care arrangements.
If you have/are:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in health or Aged Care services
- Experience in delivering Aged Care services and experience in addressing complex organisational issues and developing, monitoring and evaluating performance indicators and outcomes
- Ability to lead and manage implementation of change strategies across a multidisciplinary team utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships through highly developed interpersonal skills
