The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
Whilst not mandatory, possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in HR or another relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Well-developed leadership skills and demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing, coordinating and delivering contemporary, best practice HR and workplace health and safety services in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing HR management, workplace health and safety and workers' compensation in Queensland.
Proven ability to provide authoritative advice and expertise to management in order to achieve HR and workplace health and safety performance excellence.
Success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of HR and workplace health and safety functions.
Demonstrated well developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to report and interpret performance data to drive performance improvement.
Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
