We’re expanding our Early Childhood team to care for the littlest ‘snow bunnies’ on the slopes this winter!
To round out the team we are seeking qualified Early Childhood Educators, of various qualification levels, who are passionate about inspiring the minds and learning of the children who attend the centre. You’ll also need to have a love for the snow as our children are encouraged to explore the alpine lifestyle and nature with their educators, no matter the weather conditions!
The Centre itself is small but charming, with a capacity of 16 children ranging in age from 12 weeks to 5 years old and operates from 8:30am – 5pm, 7 days a week during the winter so we’ll need you to be available to work weekends! Whilst maintaining legislated ratios, due to the nature of the programs we offer, the centre frequently works to 1:4 ratio across the day.
The Resort is home to the largest ski/snowboarding terrain in Victoria and is locate approximately 4.5 hours from Melbourne.
The key responsibilities are:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators and staff and community to deliver best outcomes for families and children.
- Work in collaboration with the team to provide a healthy and safe environment for children and staff.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of an engaging, meaningful and appropriate Early Childhood education and care program based on service values and philosophy.
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
- Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (or be working towards);
- Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification HLTAID0412
- ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis, CPR and emergency asthma management training (if not covered by the above
- Working Knowledge of Story Park (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of Early Childhood development and education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physically capable of taking on demands of caring for and carrying young children and equipment (including on varied terrain).
- A LOVE of the outdoors, including the rain, hail, shine and of course…Snow!
- Available to work weekends and school holidays.
- Available from June to 30 September 2024.
