Manual Machinist
Trade Certifications or relevant qualifications in machining is a must.
Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Position Overview
Your role will involve operating and maintaining metalworking machinery to produce precision components that meet our exacting standards. If you are a skilled machinist with a passion for precision engineering and a commitment to delivering top-notch products, we invite you to join our team. The position is full-time with plenty of overtime available. The successful applicant will be working alongside qualified trades persons in our busy Gladstone workshop.
Tasks & responsibilities
Set up and operate a variety of metalworking machines, including lathes, milling machines and vertical borer.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce components that meet precise measurements and quality standards.
Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each machining job.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and efficient machining processes.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify that components meet design specifications.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
