The contractor will provide Marine Engineering support for the design acceptance and introduction into service of current and new Army Marine equipment/fleets. This includes developing and publishing technical publications, conducting engineering change (EC) and Report on Defective and Unsatisfactory Materiel (RODUM) investigations, and providing solutions.Duties:
- Provide engineering advice on Army Marine equipment.
- Plan, monitor, and control configuration changes.
- Process RODUMs, ECs, and Configuration Management.
- Conduct tests, measurements, investigations/trials on equipment.
- Collaborate with Technical Analysts to develop Technical Risk Assessments.
- Prepare, review, and amend technical data.
- Liaise with external organizations and military units.
- Exercise authorized delegations as per Land Materiel Safety Manual.
- Contribute to the corporate goals and values of HSPO organization.
- Understand the Operational Command and Control of Army Logistics.
- Provide engineering support services to address the backlog of allocated CA42 platforms.
- Develop an EC/RODUM management plan.
- Coordinate and deliver the EC/RODUM Management Plan.
- Provide informed practical responses to RODUMs, ECPs, and Configuration management issues.
- Produce investigation reports and technical data packages.
- Progress engineering changes through the Configuration Management Tool.
- Support installations, modifications, and maintenance of Army Marine Equipment.
- Bachelor of Engineering (preferably mechanical engineering).
- Experience in specialist Engineering (Maritime Systems) at a Level 3 Advanced Practitioner.
- Suitable qualifications and experience for CASG/NSSG Level 5 Engineering/Technical authority.
- Experience with Defence Landworthiness and Seaworthiness Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management Tool Land (CMT-L).
- Knowledge of technical and maintenance documentation used within Army.
- Effective communication and analytical skills.
- Desirable: Familiarity with CA42 Army Marine equipment, RODUM investigations, Army Maintenance Doctrine, and experience in commercial and finance fields.
