About the Role
In this role you’ll work within our existing Engineering team to design and develop high quality products for our customers. The duties of the role include:
- Review and refine our existing marine product design to improve efficiencies
- Design and develop new marine products based on industry requirements
- Design and develop bespoke tools/ jigs and fixtures to support in- house product manufacture
- Provide technical support to other areas of the business
- Provide technical support to Senior Management in the pursuit of new business
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and industry partners (when required)
- Reverse engineer and draft fabricated /machined components and assemblies to meet day-to-day production requirements
- Assist the engineering team in delivery of projects for new products and process improvements
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 5 years experience as a draftsperson, ideally within manufacturing
- 3 years experience within a manufacturing environment desirable (but not essential)
- Experienced in CAD designing/Solid Works
- Experienced in measuring, interpreting and reverse engineering components;
- Prior experience with CAM and CNC Machinery desirable (but not essential)
- Show attention to detail and have a strong focus on quality
- Work well autonomously and as part of our knowledgeable engineering team
- Show willingness, enthusiasm and co-operation
