The opportunity

The Marketing and Administration Assistant provides marketing, communications and administrative support, as a part of Tonkin’s Clients and Growth team, based in our state-of-the-art Adelaide headquarters.

Joining a fun and hardworking team, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping promote and grow Tonkin’s work as a leading national provider of engineering and environmental services that make a difference to communities around Australia.

This role will potentially suit someone who is early in their career or returning to the workforce after some time out. What’s most important is that you have a growth mindset and like having variety in your work.

The key responsibilities of the role will involve marketing, communication and proposals support including writing, document formatting, tender support, event support and graphic design, as well as administrative tasks and office support.

To be successful in this role you will be / possess:

• A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, design or media (or currently studying)

• High-level writing, editing and proofreading skills

• Advanced skills using Microsoft Word or willingness to learn

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or willingness to learn

• Database management and record keeping skills

• Ability to manage and prioritise work and meet deadlines

• Proactive, resourceful and confident in collaborating with colleagues across the business

• Curiosity and an interest in learning about engineering, environmental science and sustainability will help you excel in this role
