Home to midweek and Saturday race meetings, we’re renowned for our friendly atmosphere and easy viewing of the home straight and parade ring from the wide-open lawns and grandstand.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Events and Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a Fixed Term, 3-month contract from May through to July. The role offers flexibility with the opportunity to pursue a Part Time- or Full-Time position. The ideal candidate will be acting as a significant support in the implementation of Club marketing strategies regarding events, sponsorship, media, and membership during the Club’s Winter Carnival Event.
About the Person - Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and co-operatively in a small office subject to changing demands and workload pressures.
- Motivated, enthusiastic attitude and able to work creatively on own initiative.
- Good team player, with flexible approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Have Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is desired.
- Knowledge of current marketing techniques, including direct marketing, digital marketing, and social media.
Duties
The Events and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for several areas within the portfolio, this includes but is not limited to:
- In consultation with the Events and Sponsorship Manager and the Media and Communications Manager, develop and implement organisation wide Marketing and communication plans.
- Coordinate the design and creation of engaging Marketing and communication content.
- Establish and grow partnerships with various Club stakeholders; to grow the brand of the Club.
- Identify opportunities to increase services and value-adds for members, sponsors, and other key stakeholders of the Club.
- Assist with day-to-day marketing, promotional, communication and Event tasks.
- Assist with day-to-day feedback from members, sponsors, and other key stakeholders of the Club.
- Assist with coordination of the Winter Carnival event marketing.
- Provide excellent relationship management with new and existing sponsors, ensuring sponsor satisfaction.
