The Role

Reporting to the Chief of Sales & Marketing and the HR Manager and based in our Darra head office, the Marketing & Communications Coordinatorwill be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, to achieve the communication / marketing initiatives with the ultimate aim of supporting company’s strategy, goals and objectives.

The role has two accountabilities:

  1. Marketing Communications – primarily for external stakeholders
  2. Internal communications – primarily for internal stakeholders

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop, Create, and Execute an annual plan for marketing
  • Production of external marketing and sales collateral
  • Manage, Develop and Evaluate the Social Media Marketing Strategy across Sales, HR, and whole business.
  • Manage and optimise VAE Website and social media pages for better SEO and market visibility
  • Create graphic and creative content for all areas of the business using various software platforms such as the Adobe Suite, In Design, Canva etc.
  • Engage and participate in teams’ development across the businesses to foster collaboration
  • Create a concise and consistent communication strategy emphasizing VAE purpose, corporate social responsibility, and core cultural messages.
  • Lead and deliver projects around engagement and improvement initiatives
  • Partner with business areas to design and deliver targeted internal communications and engagement strategies under guidance of HR Manager
  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive change initiatives through communications and engagement activities
  • Assist HR Manager in HR marketing and EVP creation and development
  • Enhance internal communications contents in line with company vision and strategy
  • Manage and implement communications channels for all employee types and locations (including but not limited to SharePoint, Live screens, newsletters, Yammer)
  • Measure effectiveness of communication strategies through surveys and data reporting/analytics and make adjustments as needed.

We are looking for a candidate who will demonstrate their exceptional communication and organizational skills, experience in a similar role supporting a sales team, or knowledge of the construction market, an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and the following attributes:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Strong graphic design and creative content experience
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite products
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience and capability to create, present and execute a business-wide communications strategy
  • Significant experience coordinating and developing communications material
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, social media, SharePoint
  • Experience improving employee retention through content value propositions
  • Strong, demonstrable experience writing, editing and proof reading for a broad range of communication channels and audiences
  • Internal specific and proven experience in writing communications cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to build strong cooperative relationships with key stakeholders and teams across the business
