RemoteMarketing Coordinator(Australian-based)

Casual or Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Summerstar Tourist Parks is a group of family owned and operated caravan parks, holiday parks and tourist parks with properties in both Western Australia and South Australia. The parks span from coastal destinations to rugged outback locations with a range of accommodation options, from caravan and camping sites to fully self-contained cabins, and are a popular choice for families, couples, and solo travellers looking to explore the beauty of Australia's diverse landscapes.

In 2023, Summerstar Tourist Parks also acquired Bunbury Apartment Motel, which maintains its own brand identity and website separate to the caravan parks.

About the role 

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with implementing the Marketing Strategy for Summerstar Tourist Parks and Bunbury Apartment Motel. 

This is a ‘Work from Home’ role. You will need a suitable office space and a reliable internet connection. You may reside anywhere between Margaret River and Geraldton, however, there will be a requirement to travel to Perth for face-to-face meetings with the Corporate Team, estimated to be once or twice per month (and at a minimum, once every 6 months).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with implementation of the Marketing Strategy, promoting the Summerstar Tourist Parks and Bunbury Apartment Motel brands to increase brand awareness and drive conversions to increase revenue. 
  • SEO Website Optimisation, analysis and write SEO blog posts with relevant keywords. 
  • Manage content on the Summerstar and Bunbury Motel websites, including writing web copy, fact-checking, uploading content, imagery, ALT text, hyperlinks, and metadata.
  • Write and schedule Google My Business posts. 
  • Execute the Social Media and Content Strategy, including; 
    - assist with the management of all brand accounts (currently 18 Facebook pages, 1 Instagram account, 1 TikTok account, 1 LinkedIn account), engaging with the community as the brands using the brand voice and tone
    - assist with content creation and filming for Instagram Reels and TikTok 
    - schedule social media content, and;
    - monitor User Generated Content (UGC) and source content to repost.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with marketing campaign execution, including;
    - write advert copy, website copy and marketing material using the brand voice and tone
    - create campaign landing pages
    - create UTM tracking links 
    - implement Google Ads using Google Ads Manager
    - implement Facebook Ads using Meta Ads Manager 
    - assist in agency and media briefings and preparation of marketing materials
  • Create monthly Consumer EDMs and staff newsletters using Mailchimp and assist in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system management.
  • Compile post-campaign reports and monthly analysis.

Experience:

  • SEO Experience
  • Proven experience in a marketing or similar role (1-3 years), with a focus on campaign implementation and management.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, digital marketing channels, social media platforms, marketing best practices and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads Manager, among others.
  • Proficiency with latest technology, platforms, and programs such as, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Teams, among others.

The following is desirable: 

  • Tertiary level marketing degree or other relevant field of study.
  • Experience in the tourism and hospitality or hotels/accommodation industry.
  • A creative eye with experience using Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar. 
  • Knowledge of video editing programs and content creation skills.
  • Experience with WinterCMS or OctoberCMS websites.
