We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing superstar to join our team on a permanent part-time basis at 0.8 FTE (working 30.4 hours per week – we are flexible on the days you work), with the view to increase to full-time hours dependent on operational requirements. This position is based in Footscray, with the ability to work from home dependent on business requirements. Please note you will be required to work across our sites in Melbourne and the Barwon region on an as needed basis.
Reporting to the Digital and Marketing Manager in this newly created role, you are key in the execution of complex marketing campaigns, taking the lead on various marketing projects and sharing strategic insights. You must be proactive in offering ideas and suggestions for both internal and external marketing initiatives. Main Duties:
- Take the lead on marketing campaigns, including creating and publishing content for social media and digital platform communication activities across the organisation
- Design marketing collateral using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all marketing materials and communications and adherence to brand guidelines and standards
- Assist in promoting community events, workshops, and programs, including designing promotional materials, coordinating advertising efforts, and leveraging digital platforms
- Tracking, measuring and analysing social media and digital performance metrics to assess effectiveness of marketing campaigns and ads
- Contribute to ensure ongoing optimisation of SEO of external content
- Demonstrated understanding of current competition and industry trends to assist in identifying opportunities for promoting WCIG to our target audiences that complement our growth strategies
- Manage marketing collateral and merchandise orders across the organisation
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or related discipline AND demonstrated experience in a similar role is essential
- Proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading is required, with proficiency of writing in different styles for various marketing channels
- Prior experience in interpreting and responding to design briefs is essential
- Adaptable problem solver, who thinks outside the box
- Highly organised and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, as you will be working on multiple projects at any given time
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Extra points if you're a guru when it comes to photography and videography
- Design skills using the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop) or similar is preferred
- Experience with WordPress and digital analytic tools is an advantage
- Current Working with Children’s Check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement) is essential
- Prior experience working in the not-for-profit sector is a bonus!
