Capital Hotel Group is seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Manager to cover Maternity Leave.
This position is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing initiatives for its group of hotels (Avenue Hotel, Deco Hotel, Pavilion on Northbourne) and restaurants (Marble & Grain, Restaurant Two14, Atrium Bar & Restaurant) in Australia’s capital city.
Reporting to ownership and three General Managers, the ideal candidate will be strategic, creative, and results-driven, with a passion for tourism and hospitality and a proven track record in project management and marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Capital Hotel Group and its properties, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of digital marketing, including strategic marketing plans, content creation, website management, social media channels, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns.
- Work alongside and project manage external marketing agencies who help facilitate marketing tactics adhering to the overarching business objectives of Capital Hotel Group.
- Oversee the creation of engaging content for various marketing channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand.
- Collaborate with the sales personnel to develop promotional materials and campaigns to drive revenue and increase occupancy rates.
- Plan and coordinate events, partnerships, and major sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and reputation within the local community and industry.
- Create graphic design work within Canva or Adobe needed across the group, including collateral such as posters, front desk screen displays, social media posts, flyers and more.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions for optimisation.
- Maintain the existing solid industry relations within Canberra and across Australia with key partners and organisations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and hospitality to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing management, preferably in tourism and hospitality.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue and brand awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Analytics.
