Job description

As the Marketing Manager for InterContinental Sydney Double Bay you will play a vital role in the growth and long-term success of the hotel and the overarching brand in market, through the support and execution of the integrated marketing initiatives and strategies,
 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
•   The face of marketing working in partnership with key leaders and colleagues to deliver strong marketing initiatives that  promote and support and value, together with brand and core customer type immersive activities 
•   Manage and collaborate with partners, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring  delivery of strong value propositions and results
•   Proactively manage key relationships with internal stakeholders, IHG Marketing, Head Office, and key sister hotels to ensure alignment driving and regular communication
•   Raise the awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand locally 
•   Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments
•   Responsible for the creation of brand leading social media content.  Research, create, curate, and support the development of high-quality photos and video content for Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In
•   Capture strong visual content of  hotels events, food and experiences as they happen for future marketing use
•   Maintain and manage hotel and brand website listings as well as external online partners as directed. Assist in managing microsite and brand.com updates ensuring hotel content is accurate and reflective of offering.
•   Manage and support content and information for the in-room TVs, and digital screens
•   Produce artwork for print and in-house marketing and operations communications tools including menus, newsletters, invitations, flyers etc
•   Support the strategy of the marketing plan for Food and Beverage, Meetings and Events and specific segments as outlined in the hotel’s Business Plan
•   Act as the brand champion across the hotel supporting all departments to ensure that all facets of the products and services are in line with established brand standards

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
•   Bachelor of Marketing, business or a related field
•   Minimum of two years’ experience working in a marketing role
•   Experience in creating and managing content
•   Previous Hotel Experience an advantage but not essential
•   Experience supporting digital platforms, including websites, social media, email, and digital marketing 
•   Demonstrated project management experience in organising, planning and executing projects from conception through to implementation
•   Strong client management, problem solving and organisation skills 
•   Display an understanding of market trends and customer needs 
•   Experience using photo and design editing software will be highly regarded.
