Job description

Over the past 12 months we've seen a significant amount of transformation in our business, as we evolve from a financial services provider to a digital platform focussed on helping businesses grow and people shop and live better. We have an immediate need, due to projects and growth for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Money arm of the business.

Let's talk about the role:

The Marketing Manager will lead Customer marketing initiatives that support the Growth of the Money business. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing a highly effective integrated marketing strategy focused on the acquisition of new customers to the L-Money portfolio in addition to supporting the execution of various lifecycle marketing activity to the existing L-Money customer base primarily through digital channels.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Influence and execute marketing initiatives to attract and acquire new customers.
  • Collaborate with online and offline campaigns, experimenting with messaging and creative and optimise the acquisition experience.
  • Develop and execute programs and initiatives to drive higher engagement and retention within the customer base.
  • Grow and retain key customer segments through compelling marketing that drives satisfaction and reduces churn.
  • Leverage market research to understand buying personas and customer needs, create value-added messaging, enable growth and establish go-to-market strategies.
  • Define market opportunities for products/solutions, perform segmentation and targeting exercises that identify segments with the highest propensity to grow
  • Leverage your expertise to influence strategic plans, work tactically to execute them and build mechanisms to communicate and work across teams.
  • Analyse and understand the pathways people take to engage with us.
  • Leverage data & insights to drive customer lifecycle outcomes
  • Contribute insights on customer trends and behaviours, audience mapping and customer segments.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities to build brand awareness and target audience engagement.
  • Identify potential marketing opportunities through customer research and brand development initiatives.

  • Outstanding relationship and influencing skills
  • Strong customer focus, great instincts and a passion for executing new marketing strategies
  • The ability to drive multiple initiatives to acquire new customers for Money
  • Any prior expereince with Salesforce marketing cloud and or Salesforce would be an advantage.
  • The ability to  work collectively with the Money Marketing team to own customer acquisition goals
  • Proven experience driving impact across the lifecycle (activation, engagement, and re-engagement) via digital channels (in-product, email, SMS).
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of customer journey, lifecycle, and related tools and platforms. Experience with marketing automation/CRM software and email tools.
  • A deep understanding of lending and local customer needs and behaviours
  • The ability to respond quickly and decisively to opportunities as they emerge
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to synthetise data and communicate findings in a meaningful way.
  • A strong work ethic and desire to test and try new tactics/programs.
  • A team player who can facilitate and increase cross functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor degree qualification in related area and five (5+) or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and training. Emphasis on communications, marketing, or business.
