About this role
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Manager, National Reforms and Negotiations, to help steer South Australia’s engagement in critical aspects of national education funding and reform for the benefit of our state’s children and young people.
The team leads the delivery of intergovernmental policy, strategy and negotiation advice for the Minister, Chief Executive and other departmental executives on significant state and national matters impacting school education, and works closely with the Office for Early Childhood Development on early childhood education and care matters.
Reporting to the Director, National Relations & Policy, and as one of the senior leaders within the directorate, the Manager, National Reforms and Negotiations leads in the delivery of critical and strategic policy reform and funding negotiations relating to various national early years and education reform agreements and associated large scale policy and funding initiatives. You will lead collaboration across the department, other government agencies, and other jurisdictions to identify and develop policy informed positions for various national funding and reform work.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
MAS3: $125,970 per annum plus superannuation
