About the opportunity
The Material planner/Inventory Controller will be responsible for liaising with vendors for materials as well as inputting data into SAP regarding orders and goods.
Duties
- Responsible for liaising with vendors for material requirements
- Placing material orders and goods receipts in SAP
- Confirming deliveries, and analysing inventory requirements
- Communicating with stakeholders such as manufacturing, warehousing, QA/QC and 3PL warehouse to analyse, confirm and maintain inventory requirements
- Complete compliance forms and import permit applications, write/amend SOP's, and work instructions
- Follow procedures and work instructions.
- Provides support to the organisation for problems with vendor products and services
- Performs a variety of project-related tasks to support the Supply Chain team.
- Bachelor level or must have extensive previous experience in inventory control/planning
- Previous Inventory management / Coordinator and or planning experience required
- Medium to excellent Excel skills
- Experience in using SAP for order processing
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Car and licence are required for this position
