We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Materials Manager to join our team for an exciting construction project. As the Materials Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely procurement, efficient storage, and effective distribution of materials to support project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure materials required for the construction project, negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers.
- Manage inventory levels and anticipate future material needs to prevent shortages.
- Coordinate the transportation of materials to and from the construction site.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions and generate reports on material usage and procurement costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in materials management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management techniques, and logistics principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
