The Role
As the Team Leader for Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Physics, you will spearhead a dedicated group in the School of Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Physics. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless delivery of teaching and research technical services. This pivotal role involves overseeing the coordination of resources, managing personnel and fostering a collaborative environment within the team. Your leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for students and facilitating groundbreaking research initiatives within the school.
What you'll bring to this role
- Tertiary degree in chemistry or physics with four years subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in chemistry or physics related instrumentation and chemical techniques especially in materials, chromatographic and spectroscopic methodologies.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety specially relating to chemistry and physics.
- Organisational, time and workload management skills
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft applications and specified University software programs.
- Current C class drivers' licence
