Oral and Maxillofacial surgery nurse
Full time- contracted. Maternity leave cover for 12 months, with the view to continue on a part time/full time/casual basis.

Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III Dental Nursing (essential)
- Previous surgical/oral surgery experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Previous administration experience
- Proficient with use of computers and technology
- Valid Working With Children Check and National Police Check
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to show initiative and work in a close team environment
- Well organised, reliable, efficient, good time management skills
- Professional, approachable and friendly manner
- Ability to handle working in a fast paced environment
- Some flexibility with work hours
- Knowledge of implant systems (preferred, but not essential)
- High standard of service and commitment to patient care
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
Tasks & responsibilities
- General dental nurse duties
- Surgical assisting in operations/procedures
- Set up in operating theatre
- Preparation of treatment rooms for procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of treatment and consult room
- Sterilisation and preparation of instruments
- Phone reviews and dvising patient of post-treatment care
- Liaise with equipment reps to source special equipment for theatre cases and implants
- Manage dental implant consignments and ordering dental implants
- Liaise with operating theatres re: operating lists and equipment
- Monitor patient recall system
- Reception duties as required
