Mechanical Design Draftsperson

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join our team in Melton, Victoria. This exciting role sits within the Engineering department and will suit a person that enjoys interacting with our sales and marketing teams, technical service and customer service teams, production team, and dealing directly with customers.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, design and implement new products, and modify and optimize existing products
• Develop manufacturing drawings, BOMs, instructions, technical literature using 3Dmodels
• Ensure consistent, high-level quality is maintained throughout the product design, development and testing process
• Support the Customer Service, Technical and Warranty functions
• Respond to enquiries, and address product quality issues with customers and suppliers
• Provide accurate product/services information

Qualifications/Experience Requirements

• 2D Auto CAD and 3D SolidWorks intermediate experience
• 2D and 3D Modelling Certification
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication and influencing ability
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise projects and initiatives while meeting KPI's and project timelines
• Troubleshooting, failure mode analysis and reporting experience
• BONUS if you have experience using Pronto and QA systems, and experience in the truck/trailer manufacturing sector
