Mechanical Design Engineer

I am partnering with a World leading Water Engineering and Hydro-geology manufacturer who provide tailored solutions to the Utilities and mining sectors. The engineering team is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions for a number of different systems and products.   As the Mechanical Design Engineer your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to: Produce calculations, simulations and tests in relation to design concepts.

Perform detailed 2D and 3D Designs using Solidworks. Create detailed models, drawings and specifications for packaged pump sets including base plates, pipework and guards. Maintain company ERP and MRP systems.

Format accurate bills of materials (BOM) for the manufacturing purposes. Work closely with the manufacturing and fabrication team across the whole product life-cycle. A little bit about you: Have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or sufficient experience in the field.
