The Role:
We are looking for someone who is wanting to join a company that is at the forefront of it's industry, who's growth will provide you the opportunity to further your career in a rewarding environment.
You will be working within an existing established team and as such will have the support of the team and will provide support and organisation as required.
The focus of this role is to Provide engineering, design, drafting, and documentation services to the Aquatec Design Team, who are responsible for meeting the engineering needs of the Aquatec business.
The below will be a part of the day to day in this position:
- Prepare designs and documentation in the form of models and drawings to meet technical deliverable requirements.
- Ensuring project documentation complies with client, water authority, local council and Australian standards and specifications
- Safety in Design and requirements of the Aquatec Health & Safety system
- Meet planned milestones so that agreed deadlines are maintained.
- Be able to flag to others if the provided timeframes are not achievable during early stages of design.
- Be proactive throughout the design phase and be able to
- Maintain the Aquatec design library: Models, blocks, favorites and drawing templates, data, and document numbering system.
- Contributing to Aquatec Digital Transformation.
- Perform design simulations and computations with other engineers who will support you i.e. Structural Engineer.
- Develop systems and processes for the purpose of improving efficiency and maintaining industry leading status
- Providing quality checking, reporting and assessment of projects throughout the lifecycle
- Assist other professionals or designers in carrying out complex technical tasks and assignments
- Developing a customer focus when contributing to projects
- Identify development opportunities throughout the project lifecycle that will allow you to meet your duty statement roles
- Understanding project needs and working to achieve successful project outcomes
- Future proof the design and documentation process to reduce risk during construction
What we are looking for:
Higher Education: Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Industry Insight: Experience in a similar capacity, with a proven history of working on similar projects.
Previous Experience: Experience in working with water authorities, councils and government departments and experience with Water and Wastewater process equipment
