Mechanical Design Engineer (Truck Body)

Ekebol is the leading manufacturer of Tilt Tray truck bodies and heavy recovery equipment in Australia, with sales across Australia and export markets.  We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team to deliver design and engineering requirements for our current and future product range of truck bodies. Ekebol is located on the Sunshine Coast QLD, 1.5 hours north of Brisbane.

Competitive salary offered commensurate to experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and developing engineered solutions for the heavy truck market which will include full bodies, super tilt trailers, towing equipment, tow bars and heavy recovery units.

The successful applicant will require the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mechanical Engineering
• Member of Engineers Australia or willing to become one.
• Minimum 5 years post graduate practical experience in structural automotive design
• Proficient in using 3D and 2D CAD software. Experience in Solidworks would be advantageous.
• Previous design experience in related fields of engineering, application of Australian Design Rules and Australian Standards
• Experience in the production and reading of technical drawings for fabrication. 
• Ability to work autonomously & meet deadlines is a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in mobile crane design would be advantageous.
