The Company
Our client is an pioneering company, who are provide engineering solutions to the Coal Seam Gas market by adding value, from consulting, to manufacturing, delivery and maintenance of equipment and contracts. The owners have over 20 years experience in this sector, and a proven track record in taking businesses from concept to success. The company has grown exponentially over the past two years and this is your opportunity to write your own chapter in their story!
An exciting opportunity now exists for an junior yet experienced and capable Mechanical Engineer to join their Brisbane North based team.
The Role
This role will give you the opportunity to set up the Mechanical Engineering department, to compliment the existing Electrical Engineers, fabrication workshop and business development teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the Mechanical Engineering function, reporting to the Managing Director, incorporating:

• Detailed design and drafting of skids, piping, pumps, vessels and instrumentation
• Design and development of new product offerings using Inventor and AutoCAD
• Preparation and presentation of tender documents and bills of material
• Developing documentation, operating procedures and standards
• Preparation of P&ID’s and PFD’s and an understanding of instrumentation
• Improvement and customization of existing systems according to customer needs
• Implementing and installing product into customer environments
• Liaising with production staff, service technicians, site and project managers and clients

You
To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• Inventor and AutoCAD – both 2D and 3D
• Piping, Pressure Vessel, Skid design experience
• Knowledge of Australian piping standards
• Hazardous environment experience
• Steel fabrication experience

• Working in an agile environment with tight deadlines
• Customer and outcome focused
• Enjoy a diversity of work, no two days are the same
• Demonstrable track record in a similar position (2 to 8 years experience)
• Attention to detail, and a resourceful nature
• Exemplary communication both written and verbal
