About you:
To be successful in securing this position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Design or similar, and/or equivalent relevant experience preferably
- Knowledge of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably with PTC Creo Parametric or Zuken E3 or similar
- Knowledge of concept and detail design of mechanical structures, and electro-mechanical assemblies, with experience developing and managing large CAD assemblies
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information

Special Requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold (or be eligible to attain) a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
Your responsibilities will include:
As a Mechanical Designer, you will contribute towards the development of bespoke assemblies, equipment layouts, schematics and other models/drawings. This project is a part of Radar System and Sensors deployable components providing High Power Amplifiers, Communications and Sensing capabilities to the battlefield edge.
Primarily you will:
- Work with the Engineering Manager(s) and Product Leaders to evolve the physical integration design
- Provide input into the evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system
- Participate in technical reviews of the Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
- Contribute to the transition of design data through to production design data (Stage 3)
- Contribute to the resolution of build problems
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the:
- Physical Interface Definition Documentation
- Layouts and sketches
- System Schematic Drawings
- Cable Schedules
- Engineering Drawings to support the program in accordance with the contracted CDRL format
