AddressRed Bolt Engineering is an Australian-based mechanical and structural engineering firm that specialises in design, drafting and certification located in Toowoomba.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The role will provide the successful applicant with exposure to projects across various industries including agriculture, energy, utilities and manufacturing industries. This role will see you working on all aspects of projects from quoting/tendering, design, drafting and analysis/certification through to installation and commissioning support.
The role:
- Mechanical design & drafting within a professional consultancy environment.
- Permanent full-time office-based role.
- Opportunity to work on exciting and unique projects from concept through to detailed design with fellow experienced engineers.
- Utilise Solidworks and Autodesk Inventor to produce detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings sets ranging from a single sheet to several hundred sheets per project.
- Have knowledge of requirements of Australian Design and Fabrication standards.
- Provide ongoing support during manufacture/installation/commissioning of equipment/structures.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.
- Preparation of technical/supporting documentation (certificates, design reports, O&M Manuals, etc.).
- Quoting assistance.
- Domestic / International travel opportunities.
The successful applicant:
- Will hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
- RPEQ (desirable but not essential)
- Is a highly proficient Solidworks and/or Autodesk Inventor operator with demonstrated experience with development and management of complex models and fabrication drawings.
- Has extensive mechanical design & detailing experience with equipment/structures such as fabricated structures (steel and aluminium), lifting equipment, access systems along with some hydraulic and pneumatic designs on several projects.
- A high level of practical understanding of common mechanical/structural design concepts and drafting principles.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a dynamic and responsive environment.
- Able to manage multiple work fronts / jobs at once, while managing tasks to meet deadlines and expectations.
- Is client and solution focused.
- Is an Australian citizen.
