About the role
You will be part of a multidisciplinarymanufacturing and engineering team operating with a start-up ethos but with thesupport and resources of a larger corporation.
This role is suited to a talented, hands-onengineer and involves the installation, operation, maintenance and training ofa range of high-performance manufacturing machinery. You need to be creative,driven and have a desire to succeed when presented with challenges outside yourcurrent knowledge base. A strong practical and theoretical background isessential together with a good work ethic.
Skills and experience Required
· Bachelorof Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Provenexperience in the design, implementation, operation and training on a range of technologies
· Demonstratedexperience of "hands on" projects
· Experiencefollowing a design process
· Experiencein understanding and operating high-end Timber Board Storage Systems, CNC (ComputerNumerical Control), Edgebanding, Cutting and drilling technologies
Job Role
· Mechanicalfabrication experience (Machining / Saw Operation / Edgebanding / MaterialStorage)
· 3Dmodelling using CAD applications and integrated software
· Provenexperience in manufacturing or a related industry environment with a focus onproduction and maintenance
· Programmingof machine algorithms and SPS programming
· Investigating,evaluating, and selecting new processes, equipment and technologies forlonger-term manufacturing requirements
· Workwithin the service team and promote technical skills and quality orientationwithin that team
· Assessskill gaps and develop and initiate training opportunities and monitor trainingbenefits
· CommissionInstallation and start-up of new and used large machines
· Superviserepair or modification of new machines as needed
· Well-developedtechnical writing and communication skills
· Atrack record of adhering to safety and standards, with a strong analytical eyefor detail with ability to understand change management and process improvement
· Abilityto work unsupervised as well as a team player
· Highattention to detail and drive to finish work tasks to completion and to a veryhigh standard
· Supportingproduction by resolving technical issues as required and actively providingconstructive technical feedback and recommendations to ensure robust,manufacturable products.
· Completingprocess validation activities and documentation
· Identifyingand implement GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Six-Sigma LEAN improvementactions
Key Incumbent requirements:
· Ideallyyou have worked in the manufacturing industry
· 3years+ experience as a qualified Engineer (Mechanical or equivalent)
· Strongproject management and leadership skills
· Arecognised problem solver, with a track record of success using a structuredapproach
· Experiencedwith design, manufacturing / business process development
· Goodcommunicator with the ability to influence at all levels
· Ahistory of taking accountability for objectives and their outcomes
· Demonstratedexperience working within a Quality Management system
· Experiencein working within Production Management system
· Aresponsible attitude to working safely and building the safety culture.
· Acommitment to lifelong learning and development.
Remuneration
· $65,000- $80,000 excluding superannuation - Depending on your qualification andrelevant experience
