About the RoleWe require a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our service centre based in Wangara. This would suit a motivated self-starter with a high attention to detail who is able to trouble shoot and prioritise work demands.
- Adhere and follow all on-site safety and environment protocols and guidelines.
- Assessing, repairing, maintaining, a variety of mechanical assemblies, mechanical seals, valves, electric motors, mechanical drives, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
- Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design of mechanical equipment and plant.
- Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
- Determining tool selection and equipment for allocated job project.
- Performing and/or directing mechanical equipment reporting and testing.
- Collecting, analysing, and reporting data, conducting complex calculations and interpretation of diagrams.
- Inspections and maintenance of machines and plant equipment.
- Ensure finished works are within specifications, regulations, and contract stipulations.
- Establishing standards according to mechanical and engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Assemble new or overhauled equipment as per specifications.
- Contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives and towards the achievement of company’s operational objectives.

- Expected salary: $70,000 - $116,000 per year
