Job Description:As a Mechanical Engineer Leader at VD TECH, you will be integral in providing engineering support directly on site. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, reviewing systems performance, overseeing budget planning, and managing contracts and vendor relations. Additionally, you will play a key role in policy improvement, ensuring reliability and support for repairs, generating 3D drawings, programming, and preparing CNC machines for operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical equipment and create CNC programs using Mazatrol and Fanuc Controllers for both 3 and 4 axis machines to meet precise manufacturing specifications and requirements.
- Develop mechanical components and systems, utilising advanced engineering principles to optimise the functionality and efficiency of CNC machinery
· Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC equipment, ensuring that all machines are functioning at optimal levels and adhere to safety standards.
· Analyse production data, machine operation, and workflow to identify opportunities for improvement in machine efficiency and product quality
- Manage the implementation of engineering projects related to CNC operations, from concept through to completion, ensuring that all projects adhere to time and budget constraints.
- Develop and maintain documentation for machine settings, procedures, and maintenance schedules to standardise practices and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Provide technical guidance and training to CNC operators and technicians, enhancing their skills and understanding of machine operations and maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections and system tests on CNC machines to diagnose issues early and implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Participate in the development and improvement of electro-mechanical systems and practices, and stay informed about the latest advancements in CNC technology and Mechanical Engineering practices to drive innovation within the company.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, providing clear and effective presentations and reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the engineering field, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the related industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and execute tasks with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong autonomous work ethic.
