We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a permanent full-time role based at our Production Facility at Kembla Grange, with occasional travel to our South Nowra sites based on work demands. The position will enable exposure to a diverse array of plant and equipment including screens, shredders, front end loaders and excavators.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, our maintenance fitters are responsible for attending to plant & equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance and providing technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise manufacturing processes.

Our ideal candidate will meet the below requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification – Mechanical Fitter
- Experience in plant equipment, heavy machinery and fitting skills
- Competent in diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs
- Maintain hydraulic system components
- Understanding of completing Job Cards and schedule of works
- Experience with fixed plant maintenance and shutdowns
- Exhibit a commitment to WHS policies, procedures, and regulations
- Capability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex repairs and respond promptly
- Can work unsupervised and be self motivated
- Commitment to maintain workshop area and tools and replenish stock
- Demonstrate a commitment to Quality & WHS
- Essential: Valid driver’s licence. The ability to drive manual vehicles is desired.
- Desirable: Forklift and/or EWP
