- Perform maintenance and rebuilding tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of mechanical equipment
- Assist in the implementation and verification of modifications to equipment, maintenance or operational techniques related to production improvement activities
- Execute scheduled work to achieve and maintain a high level of safety and equipment reliability
- Respond to breakdown and failures as required to ensure production capabilities are met
- Commit and adhere to all safety procedures, regulations and standards
- Liaise with other work teams to ensure customer agreed expectations are met or exceeded
- Overhaul/Rebuild rotable components to their specification according to the time scheduled
- Create or update rebuild books as required
- Machine and/or mill precision parts to spec
- Look for cost saving on all jobs
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- Demonstrated commitment to equipment reliability and quality outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to provide coverage on shift to ensure plant priorities are addressed
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience within a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience within a rebuild workshop environment.
