Key Responsibilities:Collaboratively develop site specific inspections and test reports.Ensure all records required from the Quality Management system are controlled, maintained, and provide evidence of conformance with project requirementsReview and be familiar with the mechanical job specifications, drawings, and the submittals which will outline the quality requirements.Make daily inspections of the work in progress and maintain very accurate records of these inspectionsWitness mechanical benchmarks as required by the contract and the job specificationsEmployee must also submit inspection documents on the testing that was witnessedObserve workers using tooling to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standardsRecommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standardsAssist in resolving any mechanical discrepancies and ambiguitiesAssure all nonconformance and resolution activities are communicated in appropriate manner with all stakeholdersReview inspection mechanical test packages during the projectResponsible for overseeing solar site land development activities from Request for Proposal (RFP) through, construction and closeout to ensure projects are completed on budget and scheduleValue engineer civil land development plans during constructionCoordinate with regulatory agencies throughout construction to ensure compliance with permitsBe knowledgeable of SWPP, SPCC and environmental best practicesProvide guidance and direction to the project team and subcontractor to build a robust culture of environmental awareness and protectionManage subcontractors to ensure compliance with permit documents and project requirementsProvide guidance and direction to contractor to ensure civil execution plan supports the project environmental protection plan and the integrated project scheduleMonitor contractor work for compliance with the Project Quality Control Plan and Critical Path ScheduleProvide input into the integrated project schedule and into progress or milestone paymentsCoordinate and resolve civil/site development construction related Requests for Information (RFI) with engineerCompetencies:Experience with BIM360, Procore, or other project management software a plus.Experience with document storage systems, Bluebeam, AdobeAble to read drawings and develop/implement inspection templatesExperience in Solar- Pile, Racking, and Module InstallationGood written and verbal communicationOpen-minded and positive attitudeCoach approach, be willing to teach and be taughtEducation/ExperienceHighschool Diploma/ 5-7 years' experience in solar constructionBasic Understanding of lean construction and principles of risk managementBasic Understanding of quality management systemsOSHA 10/OSHA 30 a plus
