The Role

Reporting to the Service Projects Manager and based in Cairns, theMechanical Service Projects Technicianwill be responsible for performing hands on complex maintenance to all HVAC systems and working on various ongoing and upcoming jobs in the NQ region.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct detailed inspections of buildings/sites and establish accurate scope of works and quotes
• Coordinate and supervise internal/external trades on site
• Equipment procurement and delivery coordination
• Diagnose and rectify electrical or control faults in HVAC systems and components
• Plan general electrical maintenance and repair work as required
• Install refrigerant pipe work, flow controls and accessories
• Provide technical support as required
• Develop strong relationships with customers

We are looking for a candidate who will demonstrate their experience in HVAC service, an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and the following attributes:

• Possess relevant State and National Trade Licences (including but not limited to ARCTick, NREL, Construction Induction etc)
• Possess a valid Drivers’ Licence for the state of employment
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Financial competency
• Exceptional time management
• Ability to work under pressure
