We are seeking motivated and hardworking Mechanical Technicians to assist in supervising and developing the Fleet Maintenance team.
Who we’re looking for
Mechanical Technicians to assist in supervising and developing the fleet maintenance team to maintain the Light Vehicle Fleet effectively and safely in all facets of maintenance and within budget guidelines. This will include building, training, and managing an effective team.

Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of fundamental maintenance techniques, processes and procedures to manage Cadia Valley Mobile Fleet.
- Promote and support the Newmont safety culture, by working to the team’s behaviours and values in every aspect of your work.
- Work closely with other maintenance personnel and other departments to deliver safe and cost-effective maintenance with customer focus.
- Your dedication to delivering high-quality maintenance will be crucial in ensuring that all equipment is not only safe but also consistently reliable.
- In our collaborative environment, you'll work closely with fleet maintenance supervisors and colleagues. Together, you'll achieve clear task direction and effectively tackle any deviations from the plan, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About You
We are looking for a safety focused and team-oriented individual who has:
- Current NSW Tradespersons certificate. (Motor Mechanic)
- Previous experience as an HV or LV fitter
- Previous experience in a supervisor / leader role within the mobile fleet industry
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to work safely and follow procedures
- Have experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance systems.
- Be familiar with Microsoft office applications, particularly excel, word and office. Along with mobile devices (Apple iPad).
- Current MR or HR driver’s licence.
- Current Refrigerant Handing licence
Please note: This is a full time permanent role, based at our Cadia operation in NSW. You will be required to work a 7 days on/7 off/7 nights on/7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday – Wednesday). This is a residential role only.
