Talk to us about how this could work for you.Period of Appointment36 MonthsHours per fortnightUp to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.Duties * Lead the development and implementation of high-level Media and Communications strategies for the department and individual business units and at a whole-of-government level when required.
- Provide strategic advice to DPAC business units, and whole-of-government clients on a variety of media, communications, and marketing issues.
- Build and maintain proactive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders to produce communications materials, including liaison with creative agencies, printers and photographers as required, and provide quality control to ensure the agency is promoted in a professional way.
- Manage critical media issues through liaison with stakeholders including the Government Media Office and Ministerial Advisors. Research and prepare written material as required.
- Oversee and deliver projects and programs of strategic importance, including management of contracts for external service providers.
- Work to ensure all communication complies with departmental policies, the Tasmanian Government Branding and Communications Policy.

- A current full motor vehicle license
- Relevant formal tertiary qualification in Communications or similar and 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar media or communications role.
