Sunshine Coast’s first private Emergency Centre at Buderim Private Hospital is looking for an additional Receptionist to join our professional and friendly team in a casual capacity.
The successful applicant will cover short notice/sick leave and annual leave periods with the possibility of public holidays. Flexibility is essential as we are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, covering all shifts Day, Evening and Night with the benefit of earning great rates out-of-hours for night and weekend shifts.

Our service provides options to the community, for those seeking the highest level of care and those who wish to be admitted to a Private Hospital. We pride ourselves on our care led by doctors who specialise in Emergency Medicine (FACEMs).
About the Role…
Care 24-7 has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis over a 24-hour, 7 day a week roster.
The role provides excellence in customer service to our patients, their family members and other partners including the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of medical staff
- Providing general reception services including answering the phones and managing patient/family enquiries
- Raising invoices and facilitating receipts of payment and processing of Medicare as required
- Data entry and scanning records
- Ensuring the waiting area and kitchen is always clean, tidy, and well maintained
- Attending training / meeting / performance review sessions in order to further develop our service to referrers, patients and the general community
- Being a positive advocate for the service in the community.
About You…
We are looking for a friendly and experienced Receptionist or Customer Service professional who is able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in shifts and one who values providing the best possible care to patients and their family members.
Knowledge of clerical procedures within a hospital environment, such as medical records systems, is desirable but not essential as is experience in a workplace that is shift-oriented. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for all patients and other health professionals and as such we value an individual who is dedicated, compassionate and has a One Team approach to their work ethic.
