Form of workWe are an established Vascular Surgical Practice situated at the National Capital Private Hospital in Garran.
The person we seek must be reliable, punctual and highly organised who is able to work on their own and in a team environment. They will possess excellent customer service skills and a friendly, caring manner. The position is part-time working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The hours are flexible and school hours are available.
Duties include welcoming patients, answering phone calls, managing appointments, attending to patient enquiries, processing letters, organising hospital admissions and surgery bookings, obtaining referrals and pathology results, billing, maintaining medical records, scanning paperwork and general office administration duties as directed.
Skills and Experience required
Medical Administration experience highly desirable
Experience with medical software will be highly regarded
It is essential that the successful applicant has the flexibility to cover sick and annual leave as required (Monday to Thursday, full time hours).
Strong written and verbal skills
High level of customer service
Flexibility and ability to learn new procedures
Sound IT skills
Excellent time management skills
The ability to work unsupervised and take initiative where required
