South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a Medical Education Officer (MEO) to be responsible for facilitating the continued education of doctors including interns, PGY2s and PGY3s, vocational trainees and senior medical staff.
The MEO will work towards the achievement of, and continuous improvement of aspects of SWH performance in relation to the accreditation standards for junior doctor education and training. Additionally the MEO is required to assist in the development of programs and improvements to both junior and senior doctor education related to SWH identified priorities.
This ongoing position is full time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO and is available for immediate commencement.

- A tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of adult education and experience in developing educational programs
- Experience in designing effective work practices, policies and procedures;
- Has the ability to work in collaboration with members of interdisciplinary teams and to communicate and consult with clinicians and non-clinical staff;
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including a demonstrated customer service and problem solving approach to dealing with colleagues and clients;
- High levels of time management, prioritisation and organisation skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Well-developed skills in Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
