A permanent full-time position exists for an experienced Medical Practice Manager to become a part of an established specialist surgical practice in Adamstown, NSW.
The successful candidate must be an experienced, dynamic individual who is keen to be part of a busy Orthopaedic Hand Surgery practice consisting of two surgeons and 4 additional staff. They will be the public face of our practice and will represent the practice to the patients, other medical practitioners and associated contractors.
As well as facilitating the day to day running of the practice they will also liaise on behalf of the doctors with the hospitals, anaesthetists, allied health and health funds as well as other stakeholders.
The successful candidate should have at least three years of experience in a practice management role or similar.

Essential qualifications:
Previous experience in Genie Software
In depth understanding of medical billing including
Medicare
DVA
Private Insurance
Work Cover
Experience in financially consenting patients for surgery
In-depth understanding of patient privacy and medico-legal obligations.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience in Human Resources with a track record in recruiting, managing and training staff.
Desirable qualifications
A sound financial understanding
Comfortable with Macintosh and PC computers
Experience with XERO accounting software
Marketing skills
Knowledge and skills in website development and social media platforms.
Accounting experience.
Opportunities will exist for the right candidate to undertake further training and qualifications. The position will be five days a week. Overtime will be minimal. There is no requirement for weekend work. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
