This is an exciting opportunity to join our brand new Paediatric clinic. Hobsons Bay Paediatrics is looking for two part-time Medical Receptionists to join our stunning purpose-built Paediatric Practice opening in Spotswood in June 2024. We are searching for caring and compassionate individuals to be the face of our clinic. To represent our values and to support our practitioners in their delivery of holistic, optimal care to our patients and their families.
We are seeking applicants with a calm, reassuring, and helpful nature, who enjoy patient interaction and creating a positive experience for our patients at every encounter. As we are brand new you will play a pivotal role in establishing and bringing to life the model of compassionate and optimal care we will provide for the children and families visiting our clinic.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Successful completion of opening and closing procedures
· Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, always providing excellent customer service
· Answer phone calls, emails, schedule appointments, and manage patient enquiries and requests
· Verify patient information, and process necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently
· Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulation.
· Ensure the practice and waiting areas are kept tidy and compliant with OH&S regulations
· Coordinate with clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
· All aspects of patient billing, including processing payments and submitting claims to Medicare, and other third-parties as relevant
· Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and providing assistance to the team of Paediatric Specialists
· Stock management – ordering and restocking
Key attributes of a successful candidate:
· Experience in a medical clinic is preferred but not necessary - the key elements we are looking for is a motivated, hardworking, reliable individual with excellent communication skills.
· Experience with Xestro highly regarded
· Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction
· Reliable and dependable, with an excellent work ethic
· Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information with strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy policies
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and procedures
· Current CPR certificate (desirable)
