An exciting opportunity is available to join our team at Aspendale Gardens Medical Centre. Our well established, doctor owned, general practice requires an experienced Medical Receptionist to be a key team member. Here at Aspendale Gardens Medical Centre, we have been providing premium healthcare to the local community since 1989. We have 5 full time GP’s working on site, with associated allied health providers, including psychology, physiotherapy and podiatry.
THE ROLE
The role will see you working collaboratively within the practice, providing high quality customer service to all patients. You will be managing a busy front reception desk, welcoming patients, supporting health care professionals as well as general administrative duties. You will need to be well-presented, courteous and committed to providing excellent customer service. The ability to show empathy to patients, a commitment to address their concerns and work as part of a team is paramount. Some of your duties include:
▪ Ensuring the highest level of quality care and service delivered to our patients
▪ Supporting the GP’s, Business Manager and Practice Manager
▪ Answering phone calls and patients enquires ▪ Scheduling appointments
▪ Patient billings including Medicare, Private and Private Health
▪ Ensuring confidentiality and management of patient records
▪ Multitasking and prioritising workload
▪ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
▪ Ability to work as part of a multifaceted team and independently with a positive attitude
Experience with Best Practice and Hot Docs preferred but not essential. This is a permanent part time position, with a minimum of 2 shifts per week and the opportunity to cover leaves when required.
