Duties Include

  • Greeting Patients.
  • Making and confirming appointments, and managing patient bookings.
  • Invoicing, Billing and Receipting, including balancing takings.
  • Improving and maintaining office procedures.
  • Assisting chiropractors where needed.
  • Promoting and supporting all of Capacity Health's services.
  • Researching new ideas and products
  • Digitally recording patient files, x-rays and reports.
  • Minor office cleaning.
  • Minor IT required.

  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to multi task. Our front desk is a hive of activity that you will need to manage.
  • Fantastic attention to detail.
  • Calm and reliable.
  • Confident with computers and social media.
  • Work within a team environment and autonomously. The majority of your time will be spent working on your own in a busy waiting area.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in taking on a range of patient-related and administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Our patients range in age from newborn babies to the elderly, you must be comfortable and enjoy communicating with people of all ages. You must be comfortable holding babies for short periods of time.
  • Great knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • 3 years of office / reception experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of Front Desk or other practice software.
  • Operate HICAPS and EFTPOS.
  • Good knowledge of EPC program and referral requirements.
  • Knowledge of DVA, Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing.
  • Actively committed to continual professional development.

In keeping with Capacity Health's commitment to excellence in health, our front desk is a standing work station, therefore this is not a sit-down reception position.  Our position requires the candidate to be on their feet for the majority of the shift.

The current role is a casual position. The hours are half day shifts either morning or afternoon Monday to Friday. Generally start at 7:00 am and finish at 1pm; or start at 1 pm and finish 6:30pm. A roster is put out a fortnight in advance. The role is between 15 to 20 hours per week..
