Form of workWe are a locally owned and independently run General Practice which has been providing care for families on the Eastern Shore for over 30 years.
We are seeking an experiencedMedical Receptionist to provide a high standard of customer service and administration to patients and Doctors.
This job share role would ideally suit someone who has a positive attitude and a flexible approach. Hours initially required will be approximately 15 hours per week, on a casual basis. Opportunity exists for permanent/part time work after an initial probation period of 3 months . You will also be required to provide occasional holiday relief. An immediate start is available.
The role includes:
- Working autonomously as well as part of a team supporting the Practice Manager
- Managing confidential patient records
- Greeting patients, answering calls, patient triage and booking patient appointments
- Processing payments, Medicare and third party claims
- General administration and office duties
Qualifications & Experience:
- Medical Reception experience essential
- Experience using Best Practice of other practice management software
- Exceptional customer service, data entry and communication skills
- Ability to develop quality working relationships
- Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Familiar with Infection Control standards and procedures
