- We are seeking a friendly, competent and organized Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist centre in the Rooty Hill area. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical practice and assist our patients. Your primary job duties will include following:
- Answer the patient's enquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments
- Enter the patient's details in Best Practice software including referral details, Medicare card details, etc.
- Collect payment on Tyro machine and process Medicare refund for patients.
- The ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people skills both on the phone and in person
- Attention to detail and reliable.
- The ability to efficiently manage a high volume of patients and phone calls.
- Flexibility to cover other team members for sick or annual leave.
- A Medical Receptionist is responsible for maintaining the organization of a medical office, and ensuring that the medical environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for patients and their families.
- Additionally, Medical Receptionists are expected to provide compassionate service to patients while calmly managing a wide array of tasks.
Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of a certificate program in the Medical Receptionist field preferred
- 2 years of experience working as a Medical Receptionist in specialist center or General practice
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
- Exceptional computer skills
- Proficient in operating best practice software and Microsoft office software
- Need good knowledge of Medicare billing and private medical billing.
- Require travelling to the other room in Western Sydney once a week.
- Experience in NDIS agencies or billing.
Part-time hours: 16 per week
